Dug into my Derwent wc pencils while visiting Mom in Hawaii last month - this is from the plumeria tree in my brother's yard.

I have been very busy with "life" things these last couple of months, but I have managed to do some painting.  The first two are 4x4" acrylics done for a tiny art show in December and the watercolor got its final licks yesterday.

Second cp project.  It was a challenge to get the background deep and yet have modulation of color.  Baby steps.

Taking a colored pencil class over the next few weeks.  Liking it a lot, not the least because (a) I am learning patience, and (b) I thought I had my color theory down pat, but I am learning more new things about color mixing than I thought possible.  It's a fun way to gain knowledge that can be applied across all media.

Knife painting on canvas.  Nice not to be under the control of the brush.
